IFEA hosts Esther David’s Jewish book launch
Award winning author Padma Shri Esther David read from her book Bene Appetit The Cuisine of Indian Jews

The event by IFEA with IIHM, SNS cooking classes and Ahmedabad Management Association included cooking workshops, veganism seminar, and expert discussions about environmental, social and economic Sustainability in the food and hospitality industry.
At the local launch of her book that has won best Jewish book award in USA, Esther said
“ the Jewish community in India comprises a tiny but important part of the population. There are around five thousand Jews and five Jewish communities in India, but they are fast diminishing in numbers. Intrigued by the common thread running through Jewish food and culture, I travelled from the west coast to the north east of India meeting different Jewish families”.
This is the first ever book covering pan-India Jewish food.
During the event at the JB Auditorium of the Ahmedabad Management Association campus , Bene Israel Jew Rubina Divekar showcased a vegan recipe of Challah bread.
