FOOD TRADE EXPO & AWARD FUNCTION

IFEA partnered Aakar Exhibition Pvt. Ltd. at the Food Trade Expo held from 19-20-21 September 2022 at
the Gujarat University Exhibition Centre, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, INDIA.

The event was organised by Aakar Exhibition Pvt. Ltd. and supported by KREMAG, the apex body for
manufacturers of kitchen and refrigeration machinery in Gujarat.

Premal Mehta. Director at Aakar Exhibition Pvt. Ltd., explains, “our sole aim to organize this event is
to provide the best business platform for the food Industry, providing a unique networking and sourcing
platform for the industry members to source kitchen equipment. The event was attended by caterers,
hoteliers, restaurant and café owners, bakery owners, namkeen and dairy owners, hostel and mess
owners, hospitality professionals, hotel management institute teams, etc within 3 days of intensive
business networking’’.
As part of the event, IFEA presented the Food Trade Awards. The awards were juried by Anil
Mulchandani on behalf of IFEA with the committee members of KREMAG and the Aakar team.

The chief guest for the evening was Esther David, who received the Sahitya Akademi Award 2010
(National Literature Award) for The Book of Rachel, Hadassah-Brandeis Institute (HBI) Research Award
2016 for Research on Indian Jewish Food Traditions and North America’s Jewish Book
Council award for food writing and cookbooks. Nirmit Bhandari, Director Marketing
& Overseas Business at Vasant Masala Private Limited, was the guest of honour.
