Food Festival of Women Chefs 2.0

Following the success of the Food Festival of Women Chefs in 2020, FEA decided to hold a food festival in March 2022. The second edition of the Food Festival of Women Chefs was held at Sports Club from the 4th to the 6th March 2022.

The exhibitors included 30 home-based women entrepreneurs who exhibited their food specialties. The centre of the event was reserved for brands like Olixir Oils, Just My Roots App, Happy Faces Foundation, Tanoor Mediterranean Food, and Bellezoe Sweets and Desserts.

Students from the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) were interned at the event. They got to work in various capacities according to their subject interest from handling the registration desk to cooking at the stalls. This was a collaboration where the participating home chefs gained getting the support of students and in turn, the students got an opportunity for hands-on learning.

The highlights of the Festival:

· A Mocktail Workshop by the Retish Nair and Tomishara Chakraborthy, IIHM Faculty Members

· Party Snacks Cooking Challenge organised by FEA in collaboration with Aayana by Bela Maniar

The contest was judged by Chef Vaibhav and Chef Vrinda Menon. More than 30 women participated in the contest.

Apra Nigam won first prize for her Galouti Kebab.

Jayashree Chauhan, second prize

Dhara Shah, third prize

Anjalli Manwani, 4th prize

Vandana Kamat and Manisha Modi won consolation prizes.

· Salad Competition organised by FEA in collaboration with SnS by Manisha Gupta.

The contest was judged by Chef Suresh Khanna, Fortune Landmark.

The winners were Shriya Barve, Rinky Shah, Ashna Gani Makda and Asma Memon.

Prizes worth more than Rs 1,00,000 in all were given for the various competitions.
